INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION FOR ARTS AND CULTURE
(AUSTRALIA)
GRANT APPLICATION PROCEDURES

INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS

Applications for funding through IFAC (Australia) will be assessed against the following criteria:

  • Benefits to Australian culture and its artists.
  • Benefits to other cultures in building links and relationships with the Australian arts community.
  • Benefits to developing new arts products and/or repertoire.
  • Benefits to the aims and objectives of IFAC (Australia).

Applications approved through IFAC (Australia) have generally included aspects relating to one or more of the following:

  • Established international artists visiting Australia to share their culture and skills, to enrich the cultural base of Australian arts
  • Unique cross-cultural events involving cooperation of artists from various countries for a specific project e.g., Australian artists travelling abroad to share their own unique perspectives and skills, whilst at the same time acquiring knowledge that can be returned to Australia
  • Artists or administrators wishing to travel abroad to observe or fact-find in order to bring back experience and ideas to or from Australia
  • Overseas artists and administrators wishing to work in Australia and subsequently share their skills and experiences in their homeland.

However, applicants are encouraged to consider their application from perspectives other than those listed above. IFAC (Australia) is keen to diversify the funding base for artists by providing funding to applicants who may not meet the normal selection criteria of the more traditional arts funding agencies, and who can demonstrate vision and ingenuity.

CONDITIONS FOR RECEIVING FUNDS THROUGH IFAC (AUSTRALIA)

The Trust will fund activities which

Annually from the completion of the funded activities, the Trust will require a statutory declaration to be signed and returned by the award recipient detailing any income derived received.
